Glyph Beneath the Full Silver

When the moon hangs whole and silver at the top of the sky, she pours down more light than the night can hold. A mark made in that hour keeps her fullness in its lines.

This working forges a sigil of your own fortune — a single sign that gathers your scattered wishes into one shape the eye can hold. Charged beneath the full moon, not by fire but by her cold silver, it becomes a key you carry that quietly opens the roads ahead. To draw it well you must first know exactly what you ask.

The Working

  1. Under the full moon, write a single sentence naming the fortune you seek, then strike out every vowel and every repeated letter.
  2. From the letters that remain, bind their shapes into one glyph, overlapping and turning them until they please your hand.
  3. Redraw the finished sigil cleanly on fresh paper by candlelight, and pass it three times through rising incense to wake it.
  4. Carry it to a window or an open door where the moon can see it, and lay a clear crystal upon its center.
  5. Hold both in the moonlight and fix your whole mind on the fortune the mark contains until the sign seems to hum beneath the stone.
  6. Leave sigil and crystal in the moon’s light until she moves off the paper.
  7. Fold the glyph small and keep it with the crystal in a pouch, touching it whenever a road forks before you.

The Incantation

Full silver, whole silver, high and cold,
pour down your fullness into what I hold.
One mark for the many things I would win,
drawn from the letters and charged from within.
Not by the flame but by your white light,
wake in this sign and burn clear and bright.
Key that I carry, open my way —
every road silvered from this night to day.

Keep the sigil close and speak of it to no one, for a named key opens no locks. Redraw it at the next full moon should its silver run thin.
