Preparing the Samhain Tarot Reading

How to Read the Samhain Anticipation Spread

Turn over cards one and two first. The Blessing and Fire show what arrives and what becomes impossible to ignore. Notice whether their elements support or oppose one another. Water may temper fire; air may feed it; earth may contain it.

Reveal cards three and four together. They are the offering and its ash. Read them as a transformation rather than two separate predictions. What quality survives when the surrendered thing loses its former shape?
